Nebbi District | The Black Examiner –The dead body of a woman, yet to be identified, was discovered buried in a garden at Jupazuba village, Padolo Parish, Erusi Sub-county, Nebbi district yesterday.
The body was found by a local resident who had been hired to work in the garden by its owner, Micheal Pimundu, a resident of the same village. This discovery took place yesterday, as reported by Beris Opio, the LC 1 chairperson of Jupazuba village, Padolo Parish.
“The man, who had been hired by Micheal Pimundu to work in his garden, began working last week. However, yesterday morning, he noticed a swarm of flies gathered in a corner of the garden. Upon investigation, he found something resembling a dead pig. Upon further digging, he uncovered the body of a woman whom we have yet to identify,” Opio shared with The Black Examiner this morning.
It remains unclear how she was killed and subsequently buried in the garden.
As of the time of this report, the police from Nebbi Central Police Station had not yet visited the crime scene.
This incident comes two weeks after the body of a female teacher was discovered in Pulaka village, Padolo Parish, Erusi Sub-county.
Flexy Opio, the vice chairperson of LC2 Padolo Parish, emphasized the urgent need for robust community policing in response to the escalating incidents of murder in the area.
