The speaker for Kirabaho-Kabatunda town council in Kasese district, Hon. Alison Baluku Musisi, has raised concerns over the allocation of allowances for councilors. According to Musisi, the councilors were disbursed one hundred fifty-three thousand shillings instead of the expected two hundred ten thousand shillings for a duration of six months.
Expressing his dismay, Hon. Alison Baluku Musisi has called upon the district authorities to provide clarity regarding the missing funds intended for the honorable councilors.
In response to the ongoing issue, Hon. Elisha Baluku, the councilor representing Karambi Ward in Kirabaho-Kabatunda town council, has called upon the town clerk for immediate intervention. Hon. Baluku expressed his concerns regarding the matter and highlighted the need for prompt action.
Mr. Isreal Masereka, the Town Clerk of Kirabaho-Kabatunda town council, confirmed during a recent radio interview that he would be convening a meeting on Friday to address the matter at hand.
