Kampala, Uganda | The Black Examiner – During a weekend event at the Kampala Serena Hotel, 32 participants for Miss Tourism 2023-2024 were introduced. Representing regions like Buganda, Kigezi, Karamoja, Tooro, Teso, and Ankole, the theme of the event was “Greening Tourism.”
On August 27, an elimination round will be held at Aara Fish Lounge in Adjumani, leading up to the grand finale on September 9 at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
Online voting will begin shortly. The contestant gathering the most votes will earn an all-expenses-covered five-day vacation in Zanzibar. Additionally, the highest online vote recipient will be crowned Miss Tourism Popularity and will join the top five finalists.
To meet the selection criteria, contestants are under 27 years old, unmarried, childless, and have attained at least an S6 level of education, as emphasized by Sandra Nguna Ssesazi, the public relations representative of Miss Tourism Uganda.
The crowned Miss Tourism winner will be awarded a trip to Dubai, while the first runner-up will enjoy a trip to Zanzibar, along with a land title.
